U.S. Veteran

ANDERSON – John Robert Loudermilk, 60, of 102 Oxford Drive, husband of Tammy Loudermilk, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his residence.

Born April 24, 1952, in Anderson, he was the son of Selena Buchanan Gosnell and the late Herbert Lovess Loudermilk. He served his country in Vietnam in the U. S. Army. Later, John was a quality auditor with Electrolux Home Products and a member of Covenant Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Tammy Nichols Loudermilk; daughter, Amy Suzanne Lollis of Anderson; 2 sons, Jonathan Taylor Loudermilk of Anderson and Brandon Lee Loudermilk of Columbia; 2 grandchildren, Emma Ashlan Lollis and Aspen Marley Strickland; mother, Selena Gosnell of Iva; brothers and sisters, Glenn Hagood, Robin Deitz, Kim Evans, Marsena Hawkins, Sandra Gosnell, Steve Gunnels, Ken Gunnels, and Gene Gunnels. In addition to his father, John was preceded in death by his sister, Jan Carroll.

Funeral service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel with Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 pm at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel.

The family is at the residence, 102 Oxford Drive, Anderson or his mother’s house, 107 Williams Street, Iva.
